What is a PER?
PER? What is it?
Psycho-Emotional Rebalancing is a technique that brings together several methods that are as gentle as they are effective: meditation, breathing, and exploring your subconscious world.
It is based on the principle that the mind affects the body and vice versa. Our thoughts, emotions, beliefs and attitudes can positively or negatively affect our biological functioning. In other words, our mind can influence the health of our body!
What we do with our physical body, what we eat, how much we exercise, the quality of our sleep, and even our posture, can impact our mental state. The result is a complex interrelationship between our mind and body.
What does the mind-body connection mean?
Through meditation, we can connect what we feel in our body to the subtle mind of our subconscious.
Indeed, our mind is made up of several parts, two of these parts are the subconscious and the conscious. The subconscious mind understands things very differently from the conscious mind. It remembers everything, takes everything at face value and does not use any logic. It likes imagination, infinite possibilities and things don’t necessarily make sense except to it. It likes to express itself through images, symbols or feelings and builds a story around that.
The conscious mind, on the other hand, likes to understand, analyse, solve problems and likes things to be logical. It is clear that they do not speak the same language at all! As a result, when the subconscious mind brings up information to the conscious mind, it can lead to confusion, they can’t understand each other… The conscious mind tries to make sense of things where there is none, and it “makes movies”.
So how do we help the conscious mind to translate what the subconscious mind wants to express?
This miscommunication between the conscious and subconscious mind manifests itself in the body as pain or so-called negative emotions. If we can facilitate communication and correct misunderstandings, the body will no longer need to manifest its unhappiness to remind us that something is wrong. In effect, these physical and emotional symptoms serve to remind us that we are still unconsciously holding on to a subconscious, often irrational, pain.
We can imagine that the subconscious and conscious mind are the parents and the body is the child. If the parents continually argue, the child will act, cry, scream and react accordingly to show the parents that there is disharmony in his life.
How can we create this mind/body connection?
Psycho-Emotional Balancing is a very gentle and simple technique that allows the exploration of our subconscious and our feelings about a problem in our life. This exploration allows our subconscious mind to represent our ailments through images, symbols or metaphors, bringing them back to our conscious mind so that it can express them out loud.
Once we have put words to the problem, we have the basis, the starting point, the introduction of a story. Indeed, where we see a problem, the subconscious mind sees a story and it does not try to tell it to us. Through an EPR, we will discover this story together. It is revealed as the session progresses, it tells how our subconscious mind interprets the problem, which is sometimes quite different from the way our conscious mind would have imagined it. At first glance, this story may not make much sense, it may not make sense to our conscious mind. But to the subconscious mind it is all very clear! You just have to trust it and let it go to the end of its story.
Together we will go on a journey to discover the situations, characters and events that the subconscious mind uses to represent what it associates with the problem. The subconscious mind has total freedom in this exercise and always finds clever ways to resolve situations we encounter. This is called Psycho-Emotional Balancing.
Once the story is resolved, we will take a time of guided meditation and emotional integration to fully receive the benefits of this PER.
What does an PER involve?

A simple conversation
I welcome you in my office or by Zoom to find out what issue you want to work on today. Then, through a simple game of intuitive questions and answers, we will start the PER

Images and symbols
Through the symbolism and imagination of your subconscious, we will unfold the story of your problem, from the source to its rebalancing.
I stay with you, guide you, reassure you and help you connect to your inner wisdom. In reality it is very easy, everyone can do it, even the most Cartesian of people!

Psycho-Emotional Balancing
An EPR allows you to release the original causes of blockages in your body’s cellular memory to balance your physical and emotional aspects.
The subconscious often expresses itself in a symbolic, pictorial or narrative way. Creating a Body/Mind link, without judgement or analysis, allows the authentic expression of the subconscious to be welcomed

Rebalancing the situation
Your subconscious, cunning as it is, will find you solutions that are sometimes surprising but always adapted to your situation
What problems does a PER address?
An PER is very flexible. Any problem is bound to be enrolled in our subconscious, so it can help you to rebalance :
- Physical pain
- Emotional pain
- Addictions
- Insomnia
- Relationships (personal and professional)
- Finding inner calm
- Recurring pain
- Chronic illness
- Moments of depression
- Special needs (dealing with grief, phobias…
- And much more… than we can event define!

Mind / Body Connection
Through a very simple guided meditation and breathing technique, you will be able to calm the conscious mind and let your subconscious express itself (finally!).

Dialogue
By talking to your subconscious and listening to what it has to say, you will see the situation differently, from its point of view.

Balancing
By seeing the situation or issue from a different perspective, the subconscious mind will be able to tell you what steps to take to bring the situation back into balance.

Comment se déroule un RPE ?
An PER is done in a quiet place, either in my office or by zooming. It is not necessary to meet physically for this technique to work.
An EPR lasts between 1 and 1.5 hours.
At the beginning of the session, we will have a brief chat to get to know each other, then you will explain why you have come and what you want to work on.
Then I will guide you through a simple meditation to connect your mind and body. To do this we will go through the body, I will ask you to pay attention to what you are feeling in your body at that moment. Just be aware of the sensations inside the body and the connection will be made. Once connected, we can begin the exploration.
You set the pace and I just follow, where your subconscious takes you. I am only here to guide you deeper into your subconscious to find the answers that await you there.
Once your subconscious has given you an answer, we will stay together for a few moments while you contemplate this new information from within. During this precious time, I will give you an energetic treatment that will help you calm and soothe any emotions that may have arisen during the session.
Where does this technique come from?
This technique combines several powerful techniques and is an evolution of a technique inspired by the Hawaiian healers (the Huna) who have been using mind-body healing techniques since the beginning of time.
Huna uses one of the original sciences of healing, enlightenment and personal empowerment. The original name of Huna is ho’omana. Ho’o means “doing” and mana means “life force”, like ki (as in aikido), chi (as in tai chi) or prana in the Sanskrit language. Taken together, the word ho’omana means “empowerment” or “giving power”.
Huna (ho’omana) taught ancient Hawaiians how to get in touch with their life energy, how to work with that energy, and how to understand their individual connection to the environment and others.
He taught Hawaiians how to work with the unconscious mind to release stress and their repressed emotions. Whenever a negative emotion or painful memory arose, the Hawaiians understood that this was a signal to realign and release that emotion or memory. They did not repress, “manage” or heal bad feelings. They used these techniques to heal themselves and to learn from the experience and let the feelings go so they could regain their balance.
