A Reiki “treatment” does not replace a doctor’s consultation. Usui Reiki is a method to strengthen and stimulate the self-care process, as a complement to the treatment prescribed by your doctor.
Reiki treats the whole person, including the body, emotions, mind and soul, creating many beneficial effects, including relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method that helps the body to heal itself. It has also proven to be very effective in calming our relationship with known illnesses and other ailments and creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to alleviate side effects and promote recovery.

How many sessions are needed?
You can do as many sessions as you like. There is no minimum or maximum, you cannot, under any circumstances, do too many. To see if you like it, you can start with a single session.
That said, for optimal benefit (beyond a simple moment of relaxation) it is strongly recommended to do 4 sessions at 1 or 2 days interval.
1st session – the Reiki energy will spread throughout the body to where it needs to go, giving you a feeling of well-being.
2nd session – the energy will go where the body needs it most.
Session 3 – the energy helps the body to detoxify and relax more deeply allowing the body to function optimally.
Session 4 – the energy refines all the work done before. The body now knows what to do and the process of self-regulation begins.
In order for the Reiki energy to work properly, it is strongly recommended to take the option of 4 treatments. Few people need more than 4 sessions… except in cases of chronic illness, depression, recovery from cancer or post surgery, chronic pain, etc. ….
Reiki is particularly useful for unblocking and calming energies such as stress, anxiety or any disturbing emotion. It helps you to find your inner calm.
Through the process of cellular regeneration, Reiki helps the body to heal itself after surgery (fatigue, scarring…) or intense physical effort.

Reiki acts on a knot or tension, whether emotional or physical. it “smoothes” the energy, allowing the knot to unravel and the tension to dissolve gently.
How does a Reiki session work?
We will start with a simple discussion: I will listen to you to find out what your expectations are for the treatment.
You will then lie down comfortably on the massage table with all your clothes on, just take off your shoes, jewellery and glasses.
I position my hands at the different areas to be covered. The first position is always at the head, then I move to the different areas of the body from the head to the feet.
Each position takes only 3 minutes to be fully effective. Sometimes more, sometimes less (depending on how I feel), because some areas need a little more energy.
When the body needs a direct contact, I do it in a soft and light way, otherwise my hands are about 5 cm from your body. In order to respect your space and mine, some areas of the body are only done without contact.
On your side, you don’t have to do anything. No need to concentrate, visualise, breathe or answer questions. You will simply let yourself go in a relaxed way, to enjoy the relaxation that the energy will bring you.

Can Reiki be done at a distance?
Absolutely! A Reiki session can indeed be done at a distance. If you have already received Reiki in person, you can receive it at a distance. Just as wi-fi, radio, or electromagnetic waves circulate invisibly around and through us at all times (without us noticing), so too can Reiki energy be sent to a person or situation at a distance (geographically and/or temporally). Reiki energy can be sent to any place in the world and even beyond!
You are stressed about an important interview coming up and you don’t have time to travel to my Reiki practice. You can therefore book a remote Reiki session for the day before your interview and ask me to send you Reiki at the time of your interview.
How will Reiki help you?
Reiki is able to act on three different levels of your life: spiritual, physical and emotional. Even at a distance, the session is very intense and allows you to regain relative serenity quickly.
The previous day’s session will help you to relax, for example by calming the mind: the mind will be sharper, which will help the interview to run more smoothly. In addition to this treatment, I schedule an agenda for you and your situation for the time and day of the interview with the intention that everything goes as well as possible and in the most positive way for you.
How does a distance Reiki session work?
If you have already done the 4 face to face Reiki sessions and you find yourself with a “little slump” or a delicate interview, a difficult life situation, etc…. you can then book a distance treatment to be “accompanied” by the gentle Reiki energy that will help you overcome/manage this difficult moment.
Allow 15 to 20 minutes for a distance session.

- Prepare a relaxing space (candles, etc.)
- Make yourself comfortable, lying down or sitting
- Allow yourself to feel the energy flowing through you
- Slowly come back to yourself by moving your feet and hands
- Stretch your legs first, then your arms, then your whole bod
- Contact by e-mail to complete the session
Before we start
We will begin with a simple discussion (by phone, email or Zoom), during which I will listen to your expectations of the session.
Once we have set the time of your session (immediately after our discussion or at a time of your convenience), you will lie down in a comfortable room in your home where you will not be disturbed. You may wish to light a candle, or anything else that might help you to enter more deeply into a relaxed state.
During the session
I send you Reiki energy using a small dummy, which I purify before and after each session. I do 2 head positions and then 2 body positions on the dummy (or on a specific part if it is to treat a pain/injury).
On your side, you don’t have to do anything, except to make yourself comfortable at home (or elsewhere). You don’t need to concentrate, visualise or breathe in any particular way. You just let yourself go and enjoy the relaxation that the energy brings.
Choice of treatments
Well-being healing: at the healing center
This is only done in person, at the center. Once you have chosen the time and date of your appointment, you come to the center and the session will take place as explained above.
This formula is ideal if you want to :
- deal with a momentary stress
- have a moment of relaxation/relaxation
- deal with anxieties
- to have a better recovery after a physical/emotional shock
- calm down internal conflicts or your mind
Or if you just want a moment of relaxation and well-being: a little time just for you. I take care of everything with soft music in a relaxing atmosphere, this formula will be perfect for you!
You can receive Reiki energy from a distance, while retaining its full power and effectiveness. If you have already done the 4 face-to-face Reiki sessions you can choose this option. A distance Reiki session takes place exactly as described above.
In case of stressful or difficult events, a Usui Reiki session combined with Karuna© Reiki will be more suitable. This combination of the two forms of Reiki is incredibly powerful. It is useful for many other ailments:
- pain or chronic illness
- before and after surgery
- grief management.

Set of 4 Reiki treatments (most economical)
The first time you receive Reiki energy, it is strongly recommended to take the option of 4 sessions in a row (daily for 4 days or 1 treatment every 2 days). Reiki energy is very powerful and you need to give your body time to acclimatise and harmonise.
Receiving several sessions of Reiki also allows you to go deeper into the management of your stress/anguish/chronic pain, etc…. Several sessions can reduce or even eliminate certain pains or other psycho-emotional or mental problems over time.
This formula is ideal (and the one I strongly recommend) if you have :
- recurring pain,
- need support before/after a surgical operation,
a chronic illness
- moments of depression,
- a stressful event in the near future
- special needs (bereavement, phobias…)
- preparation for a birth,
- and much more…
This formula allows you to go further in creating harmony and a lasting inner peace.
